Minutes of County Meetings
from 1974 to 1999 are lodged at Cheshire County Records Office, Chester and can be referred to there. Minutes of County Meetings from 2000 to the present day are kept by the Archivist and County Secretary and can be seen by arrangement.County Memorabilia
Archives and memorabilia are here to be cherished as part of our Guiding heritage. Share them and enjoy them.
In our county residential centre at Rostherne we have on display; bookcases, display boards and display cabinets. Our filing cabinet holds a collection of cds, posters etc.
We have nearly all the Border Lines from 1974 to the present day which can be viewed.
There is a Timeline for 1910 to 2010 and a Box of activities for the Traditions for Guides, Brownies and Rainbows which can borrowed. We have copies of the Brownie Traditions booklet to sell which cost £1.00 each.
Stored separately we also have full sets of uniforms with a manikin and a collection of larger articles, which can be viewed by arrangement.
We will come and visit Units and Trefoil Guilds with our Archives. The girls can dress up in our old uniforms. There is no charge for these other than a charge for travelling expenses.

Archives Day
One day in August 2008, Ann Harris, Jean Lunt and Jaquie Wheelock opened their storage cases with their vast array of memorabilia for guiding friends and Trefoil Guild members to see. Early books and badge displays are wonderful and well worth the visit. Old photographs and Uniforms from all the sections were on show.
We would like to thank everyone who came to our Archives Day. There was a lot of interest in all our memorabilia: badges, photos, log books, and our uniforms from past times. They obviously brought back a lot of memories for many people. We also had quite a few donations to our Archives for which we thank everyone.
During the day we had people telling us how they used to dress for Brownies, Guides or Rangers and many commented on how relaxed everything was.

They had time to view everything we had on display and to chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a cake. We even had a visit from some cyclists from Stockport, including a lady who is planning a 1910 style Guide camp which is to be part of Stockport County’s 2010 centenary camp. She was particularly interested in our old photos and is planning to use bell tents and to dress the girls as if it were 1910!
Remember the Toadstool?
Please contact Ann or Jean who can meet you at Egerton Hall or we can bring a few things to show you at your meetings.
Donations of modern uniforms, books and photos would be most welcome as well as anything else over the past 100 years.
