N.W. Region Trefoil Guild holiday week at Netherurd
On the 19th April 2010, four members of Cheshire Border Trefoil Guild headed north to Netherurd for a N.W. Region organised holiday week.
Some people stayed in the house and some in the Garden House which was where we had our meals.
Netherurd is the Scottish Training Centre equivalent to Waddow and is at Blyth Bridge North East of Biggar in the Scottish Borders.
It was a lovely day when we arrived but very cold. The House, campsites and Garden house (indoor accommodation) looked lovely in the afternoon sun.

Tuesday we were off on a coach trip to Edinburgh for the morning and Leith in the afternoon to look round the Royal Yacht Britannia.
In Edinburgh we were dropped off at the castle right at the top of the Royal mile. Aileen & I walked down the Royal mile to the Scottish Parliament building and went to look at the debating chamber - very impressive - well it did cost a lot!
Wednesday morning we went to Peebles to shop! It was so cold that coffee was high on the shopping list before we went on the town trail. In Edinburgh we were dropped off at the castle right at the top of the Royal mile. A trip round Netherurd grounds finished off the day, with Aileen having a go on the ropes course.

A Scottish evening, dancing, singing and a piper finished the evening.
It was nice to meet up with fellow Trefoil Guild members from round N.W. England and to enjoy their company.
A lovely 4 days, enjoyed by all, thank you to the organisers.
