Walking

CountyWalkSept08100.jpg
Walking is a great way to get into the outdoors. All you need is a pair of boots and a good waterproof and you can quickly get out into some excellent walking country around Cheshire Border. If you need more equipment for a longer walk or expedition, you can usually borrow it.

There is a monthly County walk organised for Guides, Guiders and supporters of guiding (check the county calendar for dates).

There was a good turnout for the September walk 2008 as the photo shows.

There is also an opportunity to learn expedition skills to enable you to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award or the Cheshire Hike. For adults there is the chance to learn new skills and take part in the Girlguiding UK's renowned Walking Scheme or just enjoy the varied Cheshire countryside in pleasant company. To find out more contact the County Walking Adviser.
