History of the Hall

It is twenty-five years since Egerton Hall was opened as an Outdoor Activity Centre for the County in the pretty village of Rostherne, near Knutsford.
Countless numbers of Brownies, Guides, Senior Section and Trefoil Guild members have enjoyed fun-filled holidays or special events over the years at this lovely rural centre.
A strong working committee is dedicated to help maintain the hall to a high standard. The colourful and well-maintained gardens provide a safe and secure area for children to play and their leaders to relax.

If you would like to volunteer to be on the rota for 'seeing in' and 'seeing out' our friends, our booking secretary would be most pleased to hear from you. Visitors usually arrive Friday evening and leave on Sunday afternoon.

Friends of Egerton Hall

The Friends of Egerton Hall was formed so that additional equipment could be provided and facilities kept up to date - a set of ten lightweight folding tables and a new large fridge/freezer are a couple of recent examples of the generosity of the Friends.
We welcome individuals, Units, Districts, Divisions, Trefoil Guilds or Friends of Guiding groups who would like to show their support by becoming a 'Friend'. The cost is an annual minimum donation of £5.00. CLICK HERE for an application form.
