What are Brownies?

Brownies are girls aged between 7 and 11.

What do Brownies do?

Most Brownie Units meet weekly. At the meetings, Brownies do lots of fun things like crafts, games, baking and much more. Brownies do some of these activities as one big group, some on their own, and some in small groups called sixes. Brownies like to try new things, take part in challenges and find out about what Brownies all over the world like to do. Brownies enjoy going on visits, overnight stays, indoor holidays (called Pack Holidays) and some even camp.

What do Brownies wear?

Girls have a choice of different tops and bottoms – visit the online shop.

Find a Brownie unit near you

If you would like to register someone for a place in a Brownie unit, please visit the Girlguiding website and register. This is the most efficient way to find a unit near you as we will match you with a local guiding coordinator who will be able to tell you about local groups and get you started.
