A good gathering of Strollers set off through Congleton Park last month for a walk of three miles led by Dorothy Dentith along the disused railway line which carried coal between Congleton and the Potteries. We saw the impressive viaduct over Dane-in-Shaw Pasture and several notable features along the way.
The weather was not particularly clement so we were pleased to be on solid paths from beginning to end. The Cheshire Tavern offered a nice varied menu for Lunch.
