Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

D of E – help needed

What is it?

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a really challenging and fun programme of activities offering opportunities to learn new skills and activities, help others, experience adventure, and gives participants a great sense of achievement.
The Award is available worldwide and is recognised by virtually all employers and institutions as worthwhile and will be appreciated on your C.V. Your achievements are recognised by the presentation of the Gold Award at one of the Royal Palaces.

To find out more just click on the logo to visit the Award’s national website.

Who can take part?

Any member of Girlguiding Cheshire Border between the ages of 14 and 25 can take part and the programme fits into both Guide and Senior Sections.

The County registration form for the different levels can be downloaded from the right hand column.

How can the County help you?

The County has a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Adviser, a Registrations Secretary and each Division (area) has its own coordinator to help the participants in her area. There is also a dedicated  team of qualified Assessors and Supervisors who run a series of winter trainings to ensure all our participants will have a happy and safe expedition.
