The Station Street Hut has been re-opened by David Rutley MP and Cllr Alift Harewood-Jones Mayor of Macclesfield after its refurbishment.
The hut is home to all sections of Girlguiding and Scouting and the refurbishment has given the units improved heating in winter, a new kitchen for food activities and a better camp store for outdoor equipment.
The day was celebrated with information for visitors and activities to get them involved including making igloos out of mini marshmallows, fruit kebabs and face painting. For the more adventurous there was also archery available! It was great to see the wide range of opportunities and experiences available to young people through both guiding and scouting.
