Big Ideas have offered Cheshire Border the opportunity to take part in an exciting funded project commemorating the Commonwealth efforts during World War I.
This year, as part of their project ‘The Unremembered’, they are working with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) to commemorate the Commonwealth story through The Unremembered CHOGM Wreath-making Challenge. This is an exciting nationwide challenge inviting community groups to create a wreath commemorating the Labour Corps who came from across the Commonwealth during the First World War, and they will be choosing a selection of wreaths from tht community groups that take part. The wreaths chosen will represent Commonwealth member countries, and will be laid for remembrance in November 2018.
Big Ideas can offer up to £200 of funding for community groups based in England who submit a competition entry by 12 March. Funding must be applied for in advance of the competition deadline. Please note, they must receive your funding application no later than 7 March 2018.
