Who are we?

The Trefoil Guild adds another dimension to guiding for adults. If you are 18 or over you are very welcome to join us.

What do we do?

The Trefoil Guild exists to offer Guiding for Adults and also practical help to Girlguiding UK in whatever way we can. It supports guiding worldwide and allows members to the spirit of guiding.
Some members visit units to help out with particular activities – for example Brownies working for the Traditions badge or helping Guides with camp skills.
Others do badge testing, raising money, story reading, the list is endless!

A-Z of Activities enjoyed by members in Cheshire Border.

Guilds usually meet monthly, some in the afternoon, others in the evening and each Guild has its own varied programme including crafts, speakers, theatre visits, eating, and we always like to have fun.
There are also county events where members of the various Guilds can get together and recapture the joy of guiding.

There are nine Guilds in Cheshire Border covering a wide age range and activities but there is always scope to start new Guilds.

The present Guilds are:  Alderley Edge and Wilmslow, Alsager, Congleton, Jodrell, Macclesfield, Nantwich, Poynton, Sandbach and Wistaston.

The Old Cheshire Guiders’ Club first met in November 1927. They had two meetings a year, one in Cheshire and one in London. In 1937 Headquarters realised the need for an Old Guide Branch and by the end of the year there were five other groups with a membership of 84. This was of course the basis for the Trefoil Guild which came into being in 1943.

Even if you missed out on being a Guide or Scout there is a place for you in the Trefoil Guild.
