Walking

From September to March, there is a monthly County/training walk organised by the walking team

For any girl / young woman preparing for an expedition this is an ideal opportunity to practise their navigation in a real setting and attain the level of fitness needed.  Adult leaders, parents and other supporters of guiding are welcome to attend.

The walks start at 10.00 am and are usually finished by 4.00 pm.  They are approx 10-14 kms in length over a range of terrain around Cheshire.

If you would like to join us on the next walk, you (guides, parents, leaders) must enter your details HERE before 7.00 pm on the day before the walk so we know to expect you.  If you are under 18 and not accompanied by your parent or any other appropriate adult, you need to complete, print & bring with you a signed consent form.

For all walks, you should wear boots/strong shoes & bring waterproofs, spare warm clothing, a packed lunch & a drink all carried in a small rucksack.

If you have any queries, please contact a member of the  team at walking@girlguidingcheshireborder.org.uk
